Macadamia Anzac biscuits

Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup roughly chopped raw Nutworks macadamias
  • 1 cup plain flour
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 tbs golden syrup
  • 2 tbs boiling water
  • 1 tsp bicarbonate soda

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 170°C
  2. Combine dry ingredients, including macadamias.
  3. Mix golden syrup, boiling water and bicarbonate soda until they froth. Add melted butter.
  4. Combine butter mixture and dry ingredients.
  5. Drop teaspoons of mixture onto floured tray, allowing room for spreading.
  6. Bake in slow oven.
