Nutworks supports National Seniors Week
Nutworks is the Sunshine Coast’s own macadamia processing and chocolate factory.
General Manager Kylie Watson welcomes the Sunshine Coast senior community to visit Nutworks Macadamia Factory in Yandina, particularly with National Seniors Week approaching. “People of all ages should have nuts as part of their healthy eating plan. The sweet, refreshing macadamias are brimming with essential minerals, vitamins and heart-friendly mono-unsaturated fatty acids,” she said. “In celebration of National Seniors Week we are offering free macadamia nut tastings, free tea and coffee and seniors discount on Nutworks products in our retail shop.”
National Seniors Week runs Saturday 15 to Sunday 23 August and Nutworks senior discount will be applied over the whole week. The retail store, popular with overseas visitors and locals, has viewing areas where you can observe the macadamia processing factory, chocolate room and roasting room in action. There is plenty of parking, wheelchair friendly café and amenities.
There are over ten types of flavoured macadamias with FREE taste testing available. Handmade chocolate treats and confectionery are made on-site every weekday by in-house chocolatiers and confectioners.
Seniors that are travelling around Australia should make Nutworks Macadamia Factory one of their stops. Only two hours drive north of Brisbane, Nutworks has plenty of parking spaces for motor homes and caravans as well as year round specials. With The Ginger Factory next door there is plenty to do.
